Regional cross-border cooperation

The First Regional NGO Fair, 2000

Objective
To encourage the exchange of information within the region and among non-governmental organisations in order to increase collaborations between institutions. The structure of the NGO Fair served to promote issues of cross-border collaboration and funding possibilities.

Outcome
The total number of participating NGOs, associations and small initiative groups from Bosnia&Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania and Yugoslavia was 117
Four national and international institutions presented their grant programs for cross-border activities
Six workshops on Civil society development, Education, Economic development, Social, Gender and Cultural issues.
