Objective
To identify models of campaigns for education and information of citizens from four pilot localities in Romania and Serbia (Dudestii Vechi, Jimbolia, Melenci, Kikinda) in order to promote environment protection behaviors
Specific objectives
Enhance the capacity of four groups of initiative to promote an ecological behavior in their localities
Increase the level of education and information of citizens to adopt ecological behaviors and to get involved in activities of environment protection
Promote ecological values and environment protection behaviors in the localities surrounding the four pilots proposed within the project
Target groups
Initiative groups from the four localities (four coordinators and 24 members), persons involved in the local information campaigns (28 persons), high school students, youth and citizens of the four localities, citizens from at least four neighbouring localities, local institutions (city halls, schools, companies, etc.)
Activities
Form groups of initiative by selecting six members and a coordinator in each of the localities, who will participate in the training process with regard to the importance and role of ecological behaviour
Organize two 3-day intensive training sessions on the subject of ecological education and one 2-day workshop with CED project team
Information campaigns for citizens in the four localities on the importance of environmental issues and the necessity for citizens to get involved in civic activities to protect it
Education and involvement of community members and local institutions in an exercise of civic-ecological behaviour
Conception and distribution of informative materials containing the results of the information campaigns on environment protection in the neighbouring localities
