Regional cross-border cooperation

The Romanian - Serbian Program Incubator for Cross-Border Civil Society Activities

The program enhanced citizen civic awareness in Serbia through activities involving advocacy training and influencing government responsiveness to the needs of citizens and local organisations. Specifically, the program assisted clubs, associations and local groups to address issues of human rights and minority groups, community development, economic development, youth initiatives and gender issues.

Outcome
A total of 183 persons participated actively and were trained under the project
24 abused children from Serbia and Romania were engaged in a Children’s camp
35 women active in politics and media were trained in order to increase the number of women involved in politics
40 young people participated in an arts summer camp (drama, sculpture, psychology, photography, comics, shiatsu workshop, street exhibition)
36 participants were trained in communications and debate
13 joint programs were elaborated, including seminars, summer schools, workshops and conferences.
