Debate District Consultative Councils

The Euroregional Center for Democracy organizes on Monday, September 25, 2006, at 4pm, at Hotel Timisoara (Room Viena, first floor), a meeting with the representatives of the District Consultative Councils, non-governmental organisations, the City Hall and the Local Council of Timisoara. The event takes place within the Pro communitas project, implemented with the support of the European Union through the Phare 2003 Program – Strenghtening Civil Society in Romania.

During the meeting the following issues shall be taken into discussion:
- The support of the District Consultative Councils by the City Hall and the Local Council of Timisoara in obtaining a legal status (setting up independent organisations for each of the districts they represent).
- Law 350/2005 regarding grants from public funds earmarked for general interest nonprofit activities (and how the law is implemented by the City Hall of Timisoara).

Romanian – Norwegian cooperation for improving accessibility of universities and university libraries in Western Romania
Between 4 and 9 June, 2016, the Euroregional Center for Democracy (CED) made a study visit to Halden and Oslo, Norway, in order to set the ground for a Romanian-Norwegian know-how exchange, in the field of accessibility of universities and university libraries for people with disabilities.
