Euroregional
Center for Democracy is now accepting applications
for its
Exchange Program for Leadership Development
in South Eastern Europe
Short description
The program is an intensive six-week exchange
designed to develop future leadership for
the nonprofit community in South Eastern Europe.
It addresses young people from the Federal
Republic of Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Macedonia,
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary engaged
in the nonprofit sector and interested in
pursuing a career in this field. Participants
will gain hands-on experience by working side-by-side
with the center's team in order to accumulate
and share knowledge and skills. The program
is also an excellent tool for creating contacts
and developing future cross-border partnership
projects between NGOs and institutions in
the region as well as an opportunity for professional
collaboration .
Time frame
The second session in 2002 is taking place
between March 18th - April 28th (6 weeks).

Profile of the applicant
The applicant:
- has to be an active member of a registered
NGO from one of the following countries:
Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Bulgaria,
Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary
- must have very good command of English
- has to be motivated to contribute to his/her
organization's development
Application process
Submitted applications will consist of:
- completed application form
- recent photo
- one-page description of the NGO they are
representing
- letter of recommendation
Incomplete applications will not be considered.

placement in the program. Placement will be
made on a competitive basis, taking into consideration
the applicant's background, involvement, skills
and interests.

Financial Terms
CED will cover full boarding in Timisoara
and will also reimburse transportation costs.
The participants will be accommodated in a
fully equipped apartment 5 minute walking
distance from the office.

no responsibility for costs arising from accidents
and/or illness incurred during an internship.
Interns must have their own health insurance.
In case of illness or other circumstances
which might prevent the completion of the
internship, interns will inform the coordinator
of the program.
